An eligible referral meets all the following conditions:

• The person nominating you (i.e. the person signing up) is registering for CanToo training program for the first time,
  
  
• The person nominating you registers for an eligible program:
• Half Marathon Run Program
• Marathon Run Program
• Summer Ocean Swim Program
• Autumn Ocean Swim Program
  
  
• The person nominates you as their referrer during the registration process,
  
  
• The person being nominated (i.e. you) has previously participated in and completed at least one CanToo program,
  
  
• The person nominating you remains active in the program (i.e. isn’t a First Time Guarantee, Withdrawal, or Cancellation) for the full duration of their CanToo program.

• The person signing up doesn’t nominate anyone (i.e. they leave the form blank),
  
  
• The person signing up nominates someone else (i.e. they don’t nominate you),
  
  
• The person nominating you withdraws for any reason before the completion of the program,
  
  
• The person nominating you is registering for a Surf Ski, Adventure, Winter/spring swim or run squad program.

Referrals will be processed one week after completion of the program. Participants who are no longer active when we process referrals – including those who have cancelled or withdrawn for any reason – are not counted as referrals.

Discounts are applied based on your circumstance:

• If you are in the same CanToo training program that you have been nominated as a referral the discount will automatically apply to your current program and 50% of your registration fee will be refunded one week after the end of the program as long as both parties have completed the program.
  
  
• If you are not registered for a CanToo training program, you will be provided a discount code to use for your next eligible CanToo training program as long as it is within 12 months of the referral being processed.

Katherine previously completed a CanToo Half Marathon program. She suggests to a colleague, Neil that he join a CanToo Summer swim program. Neil registers for a Summer swim program and nominates Katherine during the registration process and then completes the Summer swim program.

Once Neil has completed the Summer Swim Program, Katherine will receive a 50% registration discount to use for her next CanToo run or swim program if Katherine registers in the next 12 months.

• You may only receive one 50% discount within a 12 month period.
  
  
• You can will only receive a discount for people you refer to an eligible CanToo training program mentioned above.
  
  
• Registration discounts may only be used on the eligible CanToo programs mentioned above.
  
  
• You don’t need to be in a current CanToo training program to refer a friend, but a discount will only be applied to a current, or future program within 12 months of the original referral.
  
  
• You don’t need to be in the same CanToo training program as the person you referred to CanToo.
  
  
• Standard fundraising targets apply when registering for a CanToo training program.
  
  
• If the person nominating you has participated on a CanToo Program previously, you won’t receive a discount. This includes all training programs, squad programs, adventure challenges, corporate training programs, and CanToo Beyond.
  
  
• You have 12 months to use a referral discount. After 12 months, the discount code will expire.
  
  
• We only accept refer-a-friend nominations during the registration process.
